I just want to bring up a problem that I know we've touched on before.
When Boss Battles happen, a lot happens in a short space of time and for those of us on a different part of the world, or who have extremely early or late work lives that makes it very difficult to participate. Either a ton of stuff happens while we're gone and it becomes intimidating to jump in. Or we do jump in and then have to sleep or work and a the battle moves on without us leaving some characters standing around not reacting to attacks or major shifts in the fight.
Unfortunately I'm not sure what else can be done to make the boss battles more accessible. I know the boss battles are usually set up with some kind of time frame of a few days in mind to try and accommodate for that but when the battle surges forward in leaps and bounds in a matter of hours it doesn't help as much. Alternatively if the battles take too long because we're waiting for everyone then people who were able to post might run out of time or lose track of things.
I understand that in the long run if the majority of players and mods are online at a certain time that's going to have to be when things get done but if we can brainstorm some other ideas then I'm happy to try.
Edited because: Thank you for all the work you do to keep this game running. The amount of planning and effort you put in is appreciated!

We want to thank you for bringing this forward to us. At this time there are no plans to change the format of the boss battle, as currently the format is designed to engage as many players as possible and provide the least amount of stress to the mod running it. We considered many other formats and options and in the end, this is really the best solution we have to allow everyone to have a shot at participation.
As much as we would like to ensure everyone can participate equally, it's simply not feasible given the size of the game, the schedule of the mods, and even amount of work it takes to go into a boss battle on both sides. We've considered as many options as we can to maximize the chances of players interacting and have implemented the ones that work, which have included changing the format of the boss battle and introducing phases to slow the flow of it down.
While we currently have no plans to change things, if a viable solution comes up we will see about implementing it. We do have a solution to one concern. While boss interactions can't be backtagged, boss reactions can and were created specifically to allow players to tag in their reaction to things and continue to backtag interactions while the boss fight proceeds on. If your character makes an action and you miss the reaction, you can backtag the reaction header and jump into the next action segment when an opportunity arises.

I'll just have to take more advantage of the lead up to Boss Fights when I can. Thank you!
