Raven is still oblivious about Azula's 'true nature', or at the very least she thinks Azula isn't as horrible as she claims to be. Any hints towards the 'monster side' get brushed aside because Azula has been kind and welcoming in her own way. Raven is delighted to have someone with similar mother-issues, and knows she can always go to Azula for advice.

Unlike Madoka and Apple - who are always THINGS ARE GRAND THINGS ARE OKEY DOKEY - Azula will give the stiff, firm truth and honestly that's what Raven needs sometimes. She needs reassurance in real matters, not just hope. There's also a strength and a sort of elegance to Azula that Raven happily envies, she kind of wishes she could be like Azula.
