![]() Prompts Arrival: So you've just arrived in Nyoi-Cho. Congratulations! You must be so excited about having your wish granted. Or maybe you're upset that the result wasn't quite what you expected? If that's the case, then that's too bad! There are no take backs and no redoes, so you're stuck with what you have! Maybe you should have been more careful about how you worded that wish... Oh well. There's no use in dwelling on it. You're a magi now, and that means adjusting to a whole new lifestyle! Maybe one of the townspeople can help you out. Only... they're acting a bit strangely, aren't they? They're all too happy to show you around, but there's something unsettling about the way they're behaving. Almost cheerfully dissonant. Any questions about the history of the town are met with blank stares and brief silence, before they plaster a smile onto their faces and change the subject. Any attempts to tell them about your duties as a magi or anything else that relates to the magical will get similar reactions. Isn't there anyone normal here that you can talk to at all? Home Improvement: The houses that the magi are given access to really are something, aren't they? There's almost no limit to what they can do! Why don't you create the house of your dreams, or maybe recreate and relive your favorite childhood scenes? Invite some spectators over to marvel! A Corrupted Soul Gem: You neglected to take care of your soul gem, and now you don't feel quite yourself anymore. You feel like you're losing your sense of self - all you seem to be able to focus on is your old regrets and past failures. What's happening to you? A Successful Mission: Congratulations! You met up with your first Witch, and you fought valiantly. For your efforts, you've been awarded a grief seed - and with it, access to a brand new power! What sort of power did you get? Is it a useful one, or is it not so useful? Maybe you've mastered it beautifully, and now you're showing off to all of your friends. Maybe you're having a hard time keeping it under wraps, and now you're wreaking havoc across the town without meaning to! A Dreadful Nightmare: You had an absolutely horrid day. As you drift off to sleep, your mind dwells on all the injustices you've had to endure. In response, your bed swallows you up, and your room shifts into a horrific Nightmarescape. What sort of Nightmare are you? What kind of Nightmarescape do you create? Hopefully your fellow magi can stop you before you cause too much damage! Wildcard: Feel free to use any information from the FAQ or the World Info page to make your own prompt! |
at edit IT OKAY <3 i will make heretic stuff come up later i love the idea of these two being friend
[ He's still looking straight up at this odd-eared man - but he's got the smallest of smiles. It's contagious, Haurche. And, of course, Ramza still uses the word 'live' for 'self-aware' like a nerd. When hand is placed on, he gives a slight noise - but lets it remain there. This person is taller then him. ]
Let us hope we shall fight side-to-side, then. I'd not want to get less experienced people alongside us - I've seen children who've taken wishes, and been brought here.
[ It's disgusting. (I mean, even though Ramza looks 16
and is still programmed to act like he's 17-ish but ssh.) ]But I'd best introduce myself, before we forget. I am Ramza, of House Beoulve.
[ ...Would he know of it? Would he know of him? In either case, he gives a /bow and a frown.
...And then gives a slight hm. ]
...I wonder if my House matters here, however?
im too old for this rp business s2g...and yes pls. knight pals i_i
[House Beoulve, though? That's definitely a House he's not heard of, and these days he makes a habit out of keeping informed; he's too busy trying to place the unique name to forget to /bow in return for at least a good few seconds.] Ah, pardon me, I just-- I've not heard of your House, you must pardon my ignorance, but a fellow knight all the same...A true pleasure, Ser Ramza! I am Lord Haurchefant, of House Fortemps; Haurchefant will more than suffice, of course.
Even if our Houses do not matter, my nerves are all the more soothed for knowing that not only do you look quite healthy and strong, but you've plenty of training to back it up. Rest assured, I'd consider it tragic were we not to fight together and save such children the trauma.
reading is hard
A selfless desire for another. There is no better wish. Who did you...?
[ Was that rude? He shook his head a little, before giving a slight frown. ]
House Beoulve recently... collapsed. 'Tis a small shock you'd not heard of it - but I've not heard of House Fortemps, Sir Haurchefant. Perhaps it is simply from a different country - people of Ivalice do not grow as... tall as you.
[ he had to say it. but not the ear thing. which still weirds him out. :V Friend why do you have such oddness. ]
If we can help it, those who cannot fight will not be forced into it. Even bladeless, we've gained new skills. And before I arrived here, I was learning some Magick - perhaps I can re-learn it... or even teach you? 'Twould be a simple task of teaming up in a party, of sorts.
[ we could use a tank ramza is more DPS ]
reading comprehension is for big uncool NERDS unlike me
Bending a little more to try and assist in this noble endeavour of height-evening, Haurchefant merely rolls his shoulders in an easy shrug to try and show that he's not particularly bothered by the memory. Not yet, anyroad.]
My best friend, of course. A man who turned me into someone worth being. I would assume that your precious person is just as dear to you, and so when you wish to share the tale, I'd like to hear it. The idea of hearing more about what brought you here, and what we will both fight to protect, comforts me somewhat.
...A pity about your House, however. There's always some ridiculous amount of intrigue, no matter your country; I've not heard of Ivalice either, but it would sound that Ishgard might have more in common with it than either nation knows yet. ...Except for the lack of Elezen, so it would seem? [He just laughs at that, having accepted the fact that he's no longer in Kansas soon as he set foot in Nyoi-Cho.]
Magic seems to be a universal constant, though! And glad I'd be to learn some smidgen of it, if you've the time; although I'm much more comfortable with a blade, I believe that I've misplaced mine and so might be quite useless in actual battle without some advantage. Tell me, do you know any Conjury? That would be especially useful!
u are the most cool horse lover
Perhaps I shall share the tale later - for it is quite complicated. [ He shakes his head. He's thought quite a bit how to explain it to those of his land, but he is still unsure. A knight is not to be unsure. However, he makes sure to keep eye contact. ]
'Tis no fault of yours, Sir. War brings out the worst of men - poisons and demons both, I'm afraid to say. [ He tries to give a small chuckle, but he is not able to keep that up. ] But Ishgard is the name of your land? We do not carry any Elezen - only us Humans... there are legends of other races, but none with pointy ears like that. [ well, legends and learning from balthier ]
Though 'twould be interesting to see our nations meet. If the men of Ishgard are as friendly and strong as you, then I'm sure... well, I'm sure another war would not break out.
[ That is, if those of Ivalice were alive. If they were aware - if it was not just a story he went though over and over. There's no point telling him yet.
However, he raises an eyebrow. ]
Conjury? Ah... no, I've not heard of that class of Magick. But I know some White Magick - I am quite sure that you can learn it. Though - you've lost your blade as well?
[ ...There's a slight pause. ]
Perhaps we should find a place we can sit and talk? 'Tis a little awkward, our sizes.
