 Prompts Arrival: So you've just arrived in Nyoi-Cho. Congratulations! You must be so excited about having your wish granted. Or maybe you're upset that the result wasn't quite what you expected? If that's the case, then that's too bad! There are no take backs and no redoes, so you're stuck with what you have! Maybe you should have been more careful about how you worded that wish... Oh well. There's no use in dwelling on it. You're a magi now, and that means adjusting to a whole new lifestyle! Maybe one of the townspeople can help you out. Only... they're acting a bit strangely, aren't they? They're all too happy to show you around, but there's something unsettling about the way they're behaving. Almost cheerfully dissonant. Any questions about the history of the town are met with blank stares and brief silence, before they plaster a smile onto their faces and change the subject. Any attempts to tell them about your duties as a magi or anything else that relates to the magical will get similar reactions. Isn't there anyone normal here that you can talk to at all? Home Improvement: The houses that the magi are given access to really are something, aren't they? There's almost no limit to what they can do! Why don't you create the house of your dreams, or maybe recreate and relive your favorite childhood scenes? Invite some spectators over to marvel! A Corrupted Soul Gem: You neglected to take care of your soul gem, and now you don't feel quite yourself anymore. You feel like you're losing your sense of self - all you seem to be able to focus on is your old regrets and past failures. What's happening to you? A Successful Mission: Congratulations! You met up with your first Witch, and you fought valiantly. For your efforts, you've been awarded a grief seed - and with it, access to a brand new power! What sort of power did you get? Usalia | Disgaea 5
For those of you invited into Usalia's home, it might be a confusing experience - you open the door, step through, and find yourself...outside?
Well, not exactly. If you look closer, you'll see the walls and ceiling are just painted to look like the sky, and what appears to be the sun is simply a powerful lamp embedded in the ceiling. The dirt under your feet is perfectly real, though - the tiny bunny girl carted it in herself - and it's neatly hoed into rows, with feathery green leaves spreading out over them. Usalia herself is crouching down and digging up the plants, which are...carrots.
"Ah! This is a good crop, plip!"

Usalia...doesn't particularly care about Nightmares or Witches, so the fact that the local library has no information on them doesn't really matter to her. What does matter is that book on the history of curry is on the top shelf, and without her Prinny to ride around on she's simply not capable of reaching that high. She can, however, climb that high.
"Al...almost, plip..."
The shelves might be sturdy, but they weren't designed to be climbed like that, and it's simply a matter of time before they fall over. Someone should probably stop her.

She's idly reading when she hears Usalia's muttering and looks up. That sure is some dangerous wobbling.
"Hey, that shelf looks like it's gonna fall!"

As she's mentally debating this, Usalia catches sight of the book's spine - it definitely has the word 'recipes' on there. Decision made!
"It'll be fine, plip! Usalia doesn't weigh much!"

Sunset bites her lip. This looks really, really bad. Shame she doesn't have the right kind of power to fly up and carry her back down.

Too late. Sunset springs forward, arms outstretched, bracing herself for impact. It's not the most graceful of landings, and Sunset hisses in pain as she collides with the shelf behind her on her way to the floor, but at least the girl is safe. And she miraculously hasn't caused a bookvalanche.
"You okay?"

"Yes! Rabbits are known for their jumping skills, plip."

She moves to go search for a librarian's ladder when she hears an ominous creak from above. "Aah! C'mon!"
She reaches out a hand to try to yank the girl away from an impending crash.

As her magic reacts to that, yellow energy pours out of her hands, resolving itself into a morbidly obese yellow penguin that props up the shelf through sheer bulk.

Sunset openly stares at the new penguin, wondering how the heck that came about. Magic, clearly, but...
