![]() Prompts Arrival: So you've just arrived in Nyoi-Cho. Congratulations! You must be so excited about having your wish granted. Or maybe you're upset that the result wasn't quite what you expected? If that's the case, then that's too bad! There are no take backs and no redoes, so you're stuck with what you have! Maybe you should have been more careful about how you worded that wish... Oh well. There's no use in dwelling on it. You're a magi now, and that means adjusting to a whole new lifestyle! Maybe one of the townspeople can help you out. Only... they're acting a bit strangely, aren't they? They're all too happy to show you around, but there's something unsettling about the way they're behaving. Almost cheerfully dissonant. Any questions about the history of the town are met with blank stares and brief silence, before they plaster a smile onto their faces and change the subject. Any attempts to tell them about your duties as a magi or anything else that relates to the magical will get similar reactions. Isn't there anyone normal here that you can talk to at all? Home Improvement: The houses that the magi are given access to really are something, aren't they? There's almost no limit to what they can do! Why don't you create the house of your dreams, or maybe recreate and relive your favorite childhood scenes? Invite some spectators over to marvel! A Corrupted Soul Gem: You neglected to take care of your soul gem, and now you don't feel quite yourself anymore. You feel like you're losing your sense of self - all you seem to be able to focus on is your old regrets and past failures. What's happening to you? A Successful Mission: Congratulations! You met up with your first Witch, and you fought valiantly. For your efforts, you've been awarded a grief seed - and with it, access to a brand new power! What sort of power did you get? Is it a useful one, or is it not so useful? Maybe you've mastered it beautifully, and now you're showing off to all of your friends. Maybe you're having a hard time keeping it under wraps, and now you're wreaking havoc across the town without meaning to! A Dreadful Nightmare: You had an absolutely horrid day. As you drift off to sleep, your mind dwells on all the injustices you've had to endure. In response, your bed swallows you up, and your room shifts into a horrific Nightmarescape. What sort of Nightmare are you? What kind of Nightmarescape do you create? Hopefully your fellow magi can stop you before you cause too much damage! Wildcard: Feel free to use any information from the FAQ or the World Info page to make your own prompt! |
vote for us for president of eorzea
It's not our fault. We would not let them die. They all have survived. Even Nanamo - I... would not let them die.
[ Nobody dies. Nobodies dies again. Another weak word comes from him - ] Tietra too. Nobody is dead.
[ They're just data. NPCs. They shouldn't matter. But they do. It's lucky that nobody else seems to be around. ]
yes
Nanamo…!
[she should have seen something, thought of something, she thinks. Acted faster- but no. And here, there is nothing to be done. She bows her head a little more, shaky sounds emerging from her mouth.
She doesn't catch any implications of 'would not let them die', too puzzled and hurting, and her mind snags of Tietra's name instead.] Tietra…?

It began this journey. She was a commoner. She was not to die.
[ Now Ramza is starting to hyperventilate. He wants to reset. He should have wished for her as well. And Delita too.
...Ramza lets out a slight whine, as tears do begin to come out. ]
...I wanted to help...
no subject
[Blood or no, Ramza clearly cares for her, as Sapphire would for any of her own siblings. She's trespassed on an even deeper hurt here, and she doesn't know what to do about it except hold onto him, trying to rumble comfort to him.]
I know. I know… You did what you could, I'm sure.

After her death, I declared I would not let another happen.
But now... because of those damned Braves...

She lets her grip ease up a little, now that he seems to be feeling better, though she doesn't move away yet.]
… T'would seem we chose our allies poorly, after all.
[it's an indictment of herself as much as anyone. If she'd taken more care in asking for people who were interested…
She closes her eyes for a moment.]
… We'll rebuild. However long it takes… hope will still be there.
no subject
[ He knows - he just followed the markers. This is what was written. He had no control. ]
Those of Eorzea did not seem to believe in Ser Alphinauds' goal. I wonder if word will get out of what happened...? I... want to control if it does. So more lies are not spread.
no subject
…perhaps not. They're not… they can't be replaced. But… surely there are some who still believe in Eorzea.
[and at that, she makes a face.]
I'd like that, too. But I can't say I can see how feasible it is- not without agents in Ul'dah, at the very least.
no subject
[ He pauses, with a slight smile - trying to wipe away her tears, her sadness. ]
For one, there is you. And there is me. If we find more who are like us - who were at that damned dinner - we can make our own alliance. One who will not be brought by wishes of Gil and fame.
[ aka LETS MAKE A FREE COMPANY
Ramza pauses, biting his lip. ]
But we cannot- we cannot do it while here.
no subject
I like the sound of that. If you ask me… it sounds like the best thing we can hope to do.
No.
[she bites her lip, gaze going off for a moment- and then she looks back, with renewed determination.]
So then, we will not remain here forever. I will not accept it. Eorzea is my home- and- I hope- an important place for you as well. [she holds up a hand to him, smile somewhat shaky but there.]
no subject
[ You get a little squeeze, friend. ]
...I like Eorzea. It's more lively then home. Due to people like you.
no subject
By the Warden's light.
[this is now a promise she is going to keep.
She squeezes back, expression lightening.]
Truly? I am glad of that. I am glad we could <>be that for you.
no subject
[ Ramza says, quietly... looking to the ground. Eh, might as well try and explain it. If he is to be here, it would be right to be open, yes? ]
In... um... those of Ivalice? They were... sick, in a way. They could not react to outside stimuli, as if they were simply acting out a play.
Even my dear sister was like that. Even those murderers were.
no subject
Like actors who never stepped off the stage…?
[it seems- incredible. Impossible, almost, but his distress is clear, and she lets out a hiss in turn.]
I'm sorry. It shouldn't have been so. Did you…? [was that, then, his wish…?]
