TEST DRIVE MEME.
![]() Prompts Arrival: So you've just arrived in Nyoi-Cho. Congratulations! You must be so excited about having your wish granted. Or maybe you're upset that the result wasn't quite what you expected? If that's the case, then that's too bad! There are no take backs and no redoes, so you're stuck with what you have! Maybe you should have been more careful about how you worded that wish... Oh well. There's no use in dwelling on it. You're a magi now, and that means adjusting to a whole new lifestyle! Maybe one of the townspeople can help you out. Only... they're acting a bit strangely, aren't they? They're all too happy to show you around, but there's something unsettling about the way they're behaving. Almost cheerfully dissonant. Any questions about the history of the town are met with blank stares and brief silence, before they plaster a smile onto their faces and change the subject. Any attempts to tell them about your duties as a magi or anything else that relates to the magical will get similar reactions. Isn't there anyone normal here that you can talk to at all? Home Improvement: The houses that the magi are given access to really are something, aren't they? There's almost no limit to what they can do! Why don't you create the house of your dreams, or maybe recreate and relive your favorite childhood scenes? Invite some spectators over to marvel! A Corrupted Soul Gem: You neglected to take care of your soul gem, and now you don't feel quite yourself anymore. You feel like you're losing your sense of self - all you seem to be able to focus on is your old regrets and past failures. What's happening to you? A Day in the Life: Everyday hero by day, magician by night! You've got a busy day ahead of you and no time to waste! Maybe it's school, or maybe it's work, maybe it's both! Being magical doesn't make you exempt from paying those shopping bills! May Day: Uh-oh. This magical girl stuff looked easier on TV. You're in some serious trouble! Or maybe you see someone else who is! It's time to pull up your socks and show them what you have. Be the hero you've always wanted to be, or give in and be that damsel in distress. There's no shame in needing a little help now and then. A Successful Mission: Congratulations! You met up with your first Nightmare, and you fought valiantly. You even mastered that tricky power of yours! What sort of power did you get? Is it a useful one, or is it not so useful? Maybe you've mastered it beautifully, and now you're showing off to all of your friends. Maybe you're having a hard time keeping it under wraps, and now you're wreaking havoc across the town without meaning to! A Dreadful Nightmare: You had an absolutely horrid day. As you drift off to sleep, your mind dwells on all the injustices you've had to endure. In response, your bed swallows you up, and your room shifts into a horrific Nightmarescape. What sort of Nightmare are you? What kind of Nightmarescape do you create? Hopefully your fellow magi can stop you before you cause too much damage! Wildcard: Feel free to use any information from the FAQ or the World Info page to make your own prompt! |

Everything was made better.
And she sure as heck wasn't being attacked anymore! At least, not right now.]
You kidding me? I can go on all day!

[ Little bit of fearmongering, but the hunter's got faith in this one. She's got a certain moxie to her that's necessary to survive around here. ]
Oh, but don't worry. If some more little friends come to see us, I'll leave them allll to you.
no subject
A lot. That's how many.]
Hey cool, I'm really good at making new friends.
I'm kind of a big deal, you know?
no subject
[ The little friends she made, some new ones skulking about nearby, couldn't help but make the hunter giggle just a bit. ]
It's enough to make a girl jealous. But, that's alright. Saves me on bullets and magic.
no subject
Seriously, that gets old pretty quick.
[Gaige where do you come from and why does it sound so shitty.]
no subject
[ Probably because it was mostly barking, but the monsters that could speak didn't say anything important. Though... using someone's face as floss. That's a new threat. She should write that down. ]
Wait, could it be? Are you already used to this stuff? [ The answer should probably come quick, before the familiars start on them again. Her excitement is evident on her face, either way! ]

[Gaige, you're barely 18...]
Ever heard of Pandora? Because let me tell you... Literally 95% of the things there want to kill you. And it's kind of a dump. Good place to make a name for yourself, though. You know, if something doesn't eat you, first.
Or someone.

[Sure, no problem, just keep on talking. Gaige can pretty much just shoot anything with her already limited ammo. No big deal.]
There's the bandits and... mostly the bandits. They're mostly just crazy and well-armed. If you're not carrying a gun on Pandora, you're pretty much already dead.
And even if you are, chances are you'll just die a little later!

[ Hold that thought, as B.B. plants a few more rounds into a familiar's head, that just tried to sneak up on her. Naughty! ]

Everyone on Pandora hoards two things: guns and money.
[Bang. Shotgun shell to the face. Was that even a face? She couldn’t always tell with these things.]
Like, I could just shoot some random chump and take all their stuff, easy!

[ Wow, for someone who really just spent a lot of time killing a bunch of things, she looks as if someone just handed her a really big piece of candy. ]
Oh, that sounds absolutely wonderful! My two favorite things, combined into one! Why couldn't I have wound up there instead of here?
Not that I really hate the magic. There's just not much in the way of funds to go around, you know.
no subject
[The simple joy of shooting someone and taking their stuff. Gaige was really missing that part of her life.]
I mean, what's all this murder if I don't have any awesome new gear to show for it?
1/2
That's when we get the goods.
no subject
That damn pest is going to answer to me if he doesn't hand me a grenade launcher when I'm done here.
no subject
[It's been so long.]
That's it, where's the big bad Badass we're supposed to kill?
[Is it time to yell really loudly? Yes. Yes it is.]
no subject
Oh, if you do want to kill the rest of them, feel free! They're all going up in smoke anyway once we're done.
no subject
[She has for a while now, ever since the initial batch of explosions.
How low was she on ammo? Maybe it had already filled up again. Magic was weird like that.]
I haven't turned down the chance to kill stuff and I don't plan on starting now.

[ As the first few familiars immediately barrel into sight, Bonnie takes off running, throwing what appears to be hard candy at one of them. It's small, but once it makes contact it explodes up against the blackened face of a creature, with more approaching her from the side. She's busy grabbing something else out of her basket, not paying them any mind at all, really! ]

You know what would be really awesome right now? An actual counter on how many of these little shits we've killed.
[Yeah, that'd be kind of great.]
no subject
[ A counter'd be fun as hell though. She could keep track and make sure Kyubey compensates her for the rest of it later. ]
no subject
How about we start the count right...
[Bang. Down goes the familiar.]
Now!
