Only... they're acting a bit strangely, aren't they? They're all too happy to show you around, but there's something unsettling about the way they're behaving. Almost cheerfully dissonant. Any questions about the history of the town are met with blank stares and brief silence, before they plaster a smile onto their faces and change the subject. Any attempts to tell them about your duties as a magi or anything else that relates to the magical will get similar reactions. Isn't there anyone normal here that you can talk to at all? Home Improvement: The houses that the magi are given access to really are something, aren't they? There's almost no limit to what they can do! Why don't you create the house of your dreams, or maybe recreate and relive your favorite childhood scenes? Invite some spectators over to marvel! As you drift off to sleep, your mind dwells on all the injustices you've had to endure. In response, your bed swallows you up, and your room shifts into a horrific Nightmarescape. [Madoka takes a step back, a gasp on her lips and a point of her finger.]

[...She doesn't seem scared, so much shocked. Also, what's the word she's looking for? "Bird" isn't it.

[ that reaction strips away any hope mami'd had in terms of this being the madoka she knew. despite madoka's shocked reaction, mami remains neutral. ]

"Harpy" is the specific term, but "monster" works just as well. You don't need to worry. I won't hurt you.

[ said with a somewhat self-deprecating tone. she wonders just how different she looks from the mami this madoka knew... did she never know her at all, or is she just unrecognizable? ]

[ mami freezes, eyes wide and mouth open in the process of saying something. she takes a deep breath, trying to get her wings relaxed into a natural pose, and attempts to approach the situation with some dignity. after all, this madoka is still important too, and she doesn't want to just flip out on her. ]

"Deer-you"? There's another Madoka here?

[She nods. She does see the reaction, but she doesn't take it personally, after all, maybe she and deer her know each other. Given what deer her had told her previously, it would make sense.]

She's super tall, and with antlers, and claws. Do you know her?
