Questions & TL;DR Meme

1. Post a list of your characters.
2. Ask other people questions. Whatever comes into your head! Headcanon, things you don't know about their actual canon, CR related things, future plot plans - anything is game.
3. Maybe possibly receive tl;dr type answers.
4. ???
5. Profit.

He's still hung up on Jake.
Jake is his best friend and has been the object of his affections for years... but he's also dead. Dirk's not entirely sure how the dreamself to waking self thing works, but he's pretty sure that as the Dirk that existed at that moment he's now dead and is thus out of the running for Jake's affections. He thinks he should probably move on, but he's hesitant to even consider it because you don't love someone for that long, that strongly, and not get closure and not have some issues.
But Dirk's also never had other people around before.
So Dirk has a lot of messy and confusing feelings about the people around him. He doesn't understand how to parse them, because all his life his friends have had these set roles for him. Roxy has been his palemate, Jake has always been his crush, Jane has always been his best friend, uu and UU have been his bizarre alien friends who are unknowable in any of those capacities. He's reluctant to branch out, and more than that, he doesn't know how to branch out.
SO you have Jimmy hitting on him and him not knowing what the hell to make of it or how to handle it, but finding him physically attractive and appreciating his bluntness. You have him spending time with Kakyoin and finding all of these traits that are admirable and attractive. You have him being confused on whether or not he wants to protect him and lead him down the right path as a close friend, or whether or not he wants to grab him and kiss him. And he understands that as a human these things don't have to be mutually exclusive, but also - he's so limited with human interaction that he has no idea how to proceed whatsoever.
In short, Dirk's quadrants are a gigantic clusterfuck and he's not even sure he should be thinking of them.
