Bro perceives Dirk as playing himself as being too much of the 'big man'. He believes this is part of why Dirk wouldn't actually let him see Cal. Not because he broke into Dirk's fucking hospital room, but because Dirk is trying to play a game of control with him because, clearly, Dirk has the upper hand in knowing who he is. The reason Dirk interacts with other people like he does, as apparently confidently (??? I mean for a Strider) as he does is because Dirk knows who he is. After getting his ass served so badly by Bec, Bro isn't sure who he is here, or what he's doing.

The ball is in Dirk's court in Bro's mind, and Dirk is just spiking that mother fucker again and again, chipping away at Bro's 'score' and his identity. There's a struggle here, and that struggle is who "Dirk Strider" actually is, and it matters because if this Dirk Strider is the definer of who "Dirk Strider" is, then who is Bro Strider?

The answer is Bro Strider is nothing.

So Bro is going to let this place cut Dirk apart by inches. Hopes that it will. Will help antagonize and piss off and lead other people into being shitlords too until Dirk finally admits that helping them is pointless. It's not that Bro wants Dirk to think other people are bad. Even Bro doesn't think that.

He just wants him to realize that wanting anything from or expecting from other people is pointless. And when Dirk realizes that, he'll be more like Bro Strider.

And that means when it comes to defining "who is Dirk Strider?", Bro Strider wins.
