You think the entire town just poofed up out of nowhere, and the pod people comparison is accurate? That'd be pretty creepy...but why? I was kinda figuring we all got plopped down here because the city needed us to protect it or something, but that doesn't check out if it was just made up for us to have somewhere to stay.
