"I want to protect my brother! That's my wish. I want to protect him so he can be happy."
[That had been her wish, what she'd told the strange white cat when he offered her the contract. Naomi hadn't cared the cost, all that mattered to her that she could finally help Kou, that she could finally do something.
Of course being teleported to a city was unexpected. Naomi looked around the city, eyes wide and confused, her blonde and black hair pulled up into buns. It wasn't until she looked down at the teal soul gem in her hands that it all really registered.
Had her wish been granted? Naomi wasn't sure, and that made her stomach lurch. Surely there was a way to be sure? Maybe she could find that white cat and it could tell her! But how could she do that? With a frown she began walking around the city, stopping anyone she could.]
'Scuse me, have you seen a white kitty?
A Dreadful Nightmare
[The day had just been one mistake after another - from stubbing her toe when she went to brush her teeth to freezing up on her first mission to dropping her ice cream.
... Alright, so it's really the fact she froze that has put her in such a miserable mood. The rest were just metaphorical topping on the sundae of misery. It's why she decided to go to bed early that day, curling up under her blankets and clutching her gem close to her chest.
If this was before she would probably make a wish, but Naomi's learned very quickly to choose her words carefully. Plus she'd already made a wish, what good would making more be?
So she falls asleep, or at least attempts to sleep, only to awake in a Nightmarescape.
Her gut reaction is to scream, scrambling to her feet and looking left and right. She takes a deep breath, trying to stay calm.]
I'm dreaming. 'm dreaming.
[She technically was, right? Naomi wasn't sure and despite how she tried she ended up squatting down where she stood, hiding her face on the top of her knees. She was still a coward, wasn't she? Still a weakling?
Why couldn't she be brave? Anger spiked in her chest at the thought, shattered mirrors beginning to appear in her room and spilling out into the house as her nightmare took shape.
And to anyone passing by they might here the frustrated screams and actual curses.
