As it so happened, Sandy was on her way home from her first day of actual work, and to reward herself she had a bag of candy swinging from one hand and a bag of different kinds of soda drinks in the other. She'd never seen drinks like the ones in the market in this town but the locals seemed used to them. She wondered idly if they'd be better then the drinks she'd had in the Capitol.

Spotting a girl on the younger side of the age scale made her smile thoughtfully. At least here she didn't have to worry about trying to protect every kid around her age or younger. She offered a nod in greeting.
